Leadership, Mentorship & Teaching
I have been working with data, information and various databases through out my professional career. Making meaningful insights from the data has been my passion along with building data models to store and retrieve information efficiently and effectively. During this course of journey, I have built complex data integration systems and workflows to process terabytes of data.
In last 18 years, I have been capturing memories in form of photos and videos. Over this period, I have clicked around 50000 photos and terabytes of videos. This itself is a high volume of data with immense information. All the images on my website are captured by me on various adventures and vacations. I have dwelled into landscape photography, macro photography and portraits as well. Click here to view my gallery!
My Current Adventures!
I am currently the Principal Software Engineer at Neustar Inc. since 2016. I am leading the development of Product Data Science Development Kit (DSDK). DSDK provides raw campaign-level event-data connecting media events, digital attributes, and offline and online identity graph to form a portable asset that you truly own to build your own analytics models to derive meaningful information from the data.
1. Build Complex Data Pipelines
2. Process Terabytes of media events and attributes
3. Build Complex Digital Campaign Business Logic
4. Build New Features in the DSDK Product
5. Build AWS Cloud Infrastructure
Adventures & Recreational Activities
National Parks in US
United States of America has some of the most beautiful national parks. I have visited some of the prominent ones: Yellow Stone National Park, Yosemite National Park. On my list are the Arches National Park, Glacier National Park, and few others.
Historical Sites in India
Being Indian by Ethnicity, I have visited some of the historical places in India: Bangaluru, Mysore, Pune, Mumbai. I am hoping that my next few visits I am able to visit some more places such as Rajasthan, Kerala & Delhi.
Places over the World
During my frequent visits to India, I have visited some International Places: Singapore, and many international airports. As I get more time, I am hoping to visit countries: UK, Germany, France and many other European Countries.

“Mahesh is extremely patient and kind. Regardless how challenging (both technically and politically) a situation might be, Mahesh always works hard to fulfill his responsibilities and to create a more stable environment for his teammates. I really enjoyed working with Mahesh.“
– Kathryn Chen, Product Strategy at Google
“Mahesh’s enthusiasm for teaching has truly been inspiring. As the TA for his ACO 102 class, I consistently hear excellent remarks about his teaching from his students. Every semester, Mahesh always improves the class by introducing new topics that helps engage the students. Just as he excels in his teaching, Mahesh is also very knowledgeable in his field. As his research assistant, I was able to learn graduate level topics since he always explains concepts in a way that makes it easier for me to understand. In fact, Mahesh has been the person that has influenced me to pursue a graduate degree. I am forever grateful that I was given the opportunity to work with such a unique and inspiring individual these past couple of years.“
